Ed Baldwin
Purchasing a home is an exciting time in a person’s life. At Community Mortgage, Ed Baldwin loves helping clients complete this process. Ed is a Kansas City native and has never left the area — even for college! Ed currently lives in Overland Park, and is happily married with six children. When he isn’t helping home buyers and existing homeowners save money, Ed loves spending time coaching his kids and their school friends in football and track & field, playing and singing in various music groups, and being involved at his Church.
Professionally, Ed has been a part of the mortgage industry since January 2002. This gives him over 22 years of experience helping clients secure home financing in a variety of situations, many with zero closing costs. In 2009, he found his niche by offering “no cost” loan plans and “no PMI” loan plans despite low down payments or low equity. Ed began advertising on radio to promote those helpful methods of home lending – “no cost” and no "PMI” loans – and the customers that originally came from those ads have become repeat customers, and have referred hundreds of their friends, family, co-workers and neighbors so that they, too, could get the fair treatment Ed gave them for their home borrowing needs.
Ed is ranked in the top 2% of loan originators in the Kansas City metro area. As such, he trains and provides ongoing instruction to others in this industry. He was named a Five-Star Mortgage Professional in the years spanning 2012 through 2023, and reached a back-to-back top 15 mortgage loan originator ranking in closed loan volume in the Kansas City metro and surrounding counties in the years 2020 and 2021.
